He is the best cornerback in the league, and the New York Jets can’t afford him. There is some team out there that will pony-up to acquire the services of Darrelle Revis, and the Jets would be foolish to not move him, while everyone is busy making moves over the next couple of days, often reacting to what other organizations are doing. Revis wants a new deal, and it appears that he won’t play for the Jets unless he gets it. The Jets are in similar situation that the Vikings found themselves in with Percy Harvin, and need to make a deal now. One report from the New York Daily News says that it is imminent that Revis gets traded, soon: “I think (the Jets are) going to move Revis,” a source familiar with the situation told the News on Tuesday. “Bet it. If he isn’t traded by tomorrow, (general manager John) Idzik is an idiot. One buyer might dry out. He has to move him. The risk of keeping him kills the franchise for five years and Idzik is gone.” Revis is seeking a deal around $15 million a year, and the Jets have zero financial flexibility to work [...]
