Jim Thomas  of The St Louis Post-Dispatch reports that former Cowboys defensive coordinator Rob Ryan is the only candidate known that the Rams will interview for their vacant DC position. Ryan is reportedly in St Louis for an interview scheduled for today with Rams head coach Jeff Fisher. Fisher is a longtime friend of the Ryan family going back to his playing days in Chicago with DC Buddy Ryan in the 1980′s. Last season the Rams were never able to count on original DC Gregg Williams due to his indefinite suspension from the league for his role in “Bountygate” scandal. While Ryan spent his second seasons with the Cowboys and at one point had his defense ranked fifth in the league, however constant injuries to the team ended up slumping the defense to  a final ranking of 19th in the league and Ryan ended up getting fired. Ryan appears to be set for the job, which could mean the Rams might end up switching from a 4-3 defense to that of a 3-4 which would also bring substantial changes in personnel  or use of certain players.   The post Report: Rob Ryan Only Known Candidate For Rams DC Position appeared first on NFL Trade Rumors -.
