GREEN BAY, Wis. -- Aaron Rodgers knows he won't be appearing on Super Bowl lead-in coverage this season as he did a year ago. After all, this year's Super Bowl is on CBS, the network responsible for the "60 Minutes" piece that Rodgers took offense to earlier this season. "I can say I won't be working for CBS," Rodgers said on his ESPN Wisconsin radio show Tuesday. "Not a huge surprise there, but I won't be working with them." Given the back-and-forth verbal shots between Rodgers and CBS after "60 Minutes" focused a lot of its attention on the Packers MVP quarterback's sensitive nature and less on his work with the MACC Fund (Midwest Athletes Against Childhood Cancer), that relationship has yet to be repaired. Rodgers also addressed his re-emergence on Twitter this week after staying away from social media since early August. Some of Rodgers' initial tweets to his 829,000 followers got media attention. Among those tweets, Rodgers wrote, "I think somebody should come up with a way to breed a very large shrimp......That way, you could ride him, then after you camped at night, you could eat him. How about it, science?" That was misinterpreted by some, but as Rodgers explained, these were simply quotes from the work of Jack Handey. "People wrote articles about me drunk-Twittering, and I want to be like, 'First of all, type the quote into a Google search and it will let you know where the quote is coming from,' " Rodgers told ESPN Wisconsin. "Two, read the tweet I posted about watching UFC and looking up quotes from my favorite philosopher, which obviously is Jack Handey. "I don't take Twitter too seriously. I think some people may look into it a little too much. I like to have fun with it, interact with the fans, and also pull some funny Jack Handey quotes or some 'Heavyweights' or 'Princess Bride' lines, two of my favorite movies. That's going to be my persona on that as long as I keep doing it. "Hopefully, people will start to come around with the fact that I'm just messing around with those Jack Handey quotes. They're incredible." In one of Rodgers' tweets, he also mentioned that he'd take questions from fans, "as long as they are real people," a jab at the strange Manti Te'o situation. "Gotta have some tweets that show I'm at least hip to what's going on in the world," Rodgers said. Follow Paul Imig on Twitter
