Hours after parting ways with one veteran signal caller, the Titans have reportedly brought in another. ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports that Tennessee has agreed to terms on a two-year contract with former Bills quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick. Tennessee reached agreement on a two-year deal with former Bills QB Ryan Fitzpatrick.— Adam Schefter (@AdamSchefter) March 19, 2013 Fitzpatrick was released last week after four seasons in Buffalo. He’ll now compete with 2011 first-round draft pick Jake Locker for the Titans’ starting spot. The team looks to Locker as its quarterback of the future, but the Washington product has yet to live up to the expectations that come along with being a No. 8 overall pick. He spent his rookie year backing up Matt Hasselbeck, who was released by the Titans on Monday, and played in just 11 games last season while battling shoulder injuries. Locker ranked 28th in the NFL in both completion percentage (56.4) and passer rating (74.0) in 2012 — totaling 10 touchdowns and 11 interceptions. Fitzpatrick, who started all 16 games for Buffalo, dwarfed Locker statistically, completing 60.6 percent of his passes with 24 touchdowns, 16 picks and an 83.3 passer rating.
