Tests on the left knee of Chris Clemons confirmed the Seattle Seahawks' defensive end suffered a torn ACL in Sunday's victory against the Washington Redskins, according to ESPN.com, citing a source close to the player. Clemons leads the Seahawks with 11.5 sacks, and his absence likely will mean first-round pick Bruce Irvin will move from the left side to the right side on passing downs. However, Irvin a situational pass rusher at this stage. Greg Suggs, a rookie out of Louisville, would also see increased snaps in Clemons' absence. He was active for 11 games during the regular season, recording six tackles and a pair of sacks. "It's a shame," Clemons' agent, Donal Henderson, told NFL.com on Sunday. "He's worked so hard to get there." Henderson believes the conditions at FedEx Field contributed to the injury. Clemons was wearing 3/4-inch cleats to get traction on the slippery surface.
