Report! Steelers Release Larry Foote

Reports are confirmed that the Pittsburgh Steelers have let Linebacker Larry Foote know he will be released. Foote is slated to recieve $2,885,000 in 2009. For one reason or another, Foote will not be released officially for a few days. Off the top of my head, it wouldn't surprise me to see the Detroit Lions, Foote's hometown, pick him up.   The release all but means the starting position will be given to 3rd year linebacker Lawrence Timmons, who basically took over teh job last year. Foote will be missed, as he was a character guy. Thanks for the memories #50!!!
