The Houston Texans, in the midst of an 11-game losing streak, are expected to fire head coach Gary Kubiak, according to a report from Sports Illustrated’s Peter King.
Injuries to starting QB Matt Schaub and star running back Arian Foster contributed to the Texans struggles. Kubiak also suffered a mini stroke earlier this season, but a loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars Thursday night may have sealed Kubiak’s fate. At 2-11, the Texans have the inside track at the top overall pick in the 2014 draft, and may move to hire a coach before then.
Houston has struggled to regain their form from last season, where the Texans were 12-4 before losing to New England in the divisional playoff game. Kubiak has coached the Texans since 2006 after 11 years as offensive coordinator for the Broncos. Houston is 61-64 with Kubiak as head coach, and 2-2 in playoffs games.

Really tough seeing kub go today. You couldn’t ask for a better coach/person. It was a privilege to spend 5 years with him.
