According to a report from CBS Sports' Jason La Canfora, longtime NFL assistant coach Tom Moore will be joining the Cardinals' staff under new coach Bruce Arians. Moore, who has worked in the league since 1997, has extensive experience as an offensive coordinator, calling plays for Peyton Manning and the Colts from 1998-2010 before retiring from coaching. He worked for the last two years as an offensive consultant for the Jets and Titans but recently left the Tennessee organization, saying he wanted to return to a more hands-on role. With the Cardinals, Moore will reportedly receive the title of assistant head coach of offense. On Saturday, it was reported by the Indianapolis Star that Arians has hired former Colts and Steelers offensive line coach Harold Goodwin as offensive coordinator. Arians also has said that he will call plays for the Cardinals; it is unclear how other duties will be divided, but it appears that the staff will have three assistants heavily involved in managing the offense. Arians was the Colts' quarterbacks coach from 1998-2000, working under Moore during that period. The 74-year-old Moore had also been offensive coordinator for the Steelers (1983-89), Vikings (1990-93) and Lions (1994-96) prior to his lengthy stint in Indianapolis. La Canfora also reported that the Cardinals' staff is now complete -- not all of the assistants are known publicly -- and will be announced "soon."
