EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. The second week of free agency has been an active one for the Minnesota Vikings and theysigned a wide receiver on Friday evening.
Minnesota reportedly re-signed Devin Aromashodu to a one-year deal Friday. Aromashodu, 27, had 26 catches for 468 yards and a touchdown last season for Minnesota and came on at the end of the season after injuries hit the team's depth. Aromashodu, signed last offseason from the Chicago Bears, had 17 catches in the final five weeks of the season.
He entered unrestricted free agency last week and the Vikings stayed away from some of the high-profile receivers last week as several players were signed to rich, multi-year deals.
Aromashodu will have the chance to come in as Minnesota's No. 3 or No. 4 receiver next season, already familiar with the team's offense. Percy Harvin had his best season as a pro last year, and Michael Jenkins will be back following knee surgery during last season.

EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. After testing an unexpectedly soft market in free agency, Minnesota Vikings linebacker Erin Henderson agreed to return to the team on a one-year deal Friday.
Henderson's agent, Brian Mackler, confirmed the signing Friday afternoon, and multiple reports say Henderson signed a one-year, 2 million contract. Henderson, 25, developed into a starter for Minnesota...
For many years, Vikings fans knew of only one Henderson— E.J. Henderson. This all changed in 2008 when Erin, the brother of aforementioned E.J., declared for the draft.
I, like many, was praying Minnesota would take him. I mean, it’s not too often two brothers get to play on the same team together, let alone right next to each other.
However, as it turned out, Erin would not...
Despite not having the smoothest of negotiations, Erin Henderson is returning to the Minnesota Vikings.
The 25-year-old linebacker agreed to terms on a one-year deal to stay with the team that signed him as a rookie free agent in 2008, his sports agency tweeted on Friday.
Henderson was one of the few standouts for the Vikings during a trying 3-13 season last year. In his first...
Vikings center John Sullivan was direct and to the point when asked about his assessment of “Bountygate.” He called the intent to injure “despicable” and “disgusting” and said he hopes the union doesn’t come to the defense of those who did it.
Opinionated Vikings punter Chris Kluwe believes that Saints linebacker Jonathan Vilma "should be banned for life" by the NFL for his alleged integral role in the team's bounty program.
A documentary film about the most turbulent years of Brett Favre – Last Day at Lambeau – is scheduled to debut next month. It covers an era from Favre’s last pass as a Packer to his last one at Lambeau Field as a member of the Vikings.
Vikings punter Chris Kluwe is back with another strong opinion, calling for a lifetime suspension for Jonathan Vilma for his role in Bountygate. Kluwe said he wondered during the NFC Championship Game if there was intent to injure.
Minnesota Vikings punter Chris Kluwe seems irate over the New Orleans Saints bounty scandal. He told “Judd & Phunn” on 1500 ESPN that he would like to see Saints linebacker Jonathan Vilma and former Saints defensive coordinator Gregg Williams banned from the NFL.
“I was pleased,” Kluwe said when asked about Goodell’s actions per ESPN1500. “My position has always...
Numerous NFL clubs have been extremely active during this 2012 NFL Free Agency frenzy.
Other cap-strapped quality and upper-echelon teams have inevitably been virtually silent. However, the Minnesota Vikings, like a handful of other teams in transition with plenty of cap room, haven’t made many moves.
As GridironGrit.com Co-Founder and Senior Writer Tanner Thoms has reported...
The Vikings continued a busy second week of free agency by signing WR Devin Aromashodu Friday. He is the fourth in-house free agent the Vikings have re-signed.
