Gregg Williams has an eye on being reinstated by the NFL.
Williams, who has been suspended indefinitely by the league for his role in the New Orleans Saints' bounty program, has been in contact with NFL officials to seek framework for a path so that he can apply for reinstatement, NFL.com reported.
Although now the St. Louis Rams' defensive coordinator, Williams took an active role in the Saints' three-year bounty program. The program provided financial benefits for hits that resulted in opponents being carted off the field or knocked out of games.
Williams has apologized for his role and has openly pledged to make amends for his actions.
