Greg A. Bedard of the Boston Globe reported NFL Network’s Michael Lombardi could become the next general manager of the Cleveland Browns if Jimmy Haslam and CEO Joe Banner decide to switch from Tom Heckert this season. The report also stated Heckert may force his way out if Banner assumes the personnel controls like he did as president of the Philadelphia Eagles. Lombardi’s potential arrival have linked University of Alabama coach Nick Saban to coaching rumors. Saban, has been there – done that and also coached Cleveland Browns running back Trent Richardson at Alabama. Saban previously coached the Miami Dolphins for two seasons (2005-2006) compiling a 15-17 record before bailing for Alabama. His coaching record is impressive.… Read more
