The Ravens had been crossing their fingers and hoping that Pro Bowl outside linebacker Terrell Suggs wouldn't be sidelined by an upper right arm injury that has been identified as a torn biceps in multiple reports. Suggs told Albert Breer of the NFL Network, via text, he would try to play through the injury. "I can," Suggs told Breer of playing through the injury sustained in the Ravens' 23-20 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers. Earlier, Ravens coach John Harbaugh said the team was in an evaluation mode as to how much time Suggs could miss. "We don't know the extent of it," Harbaugh said. "We have an idea what it is. It needs to be evaluated as far as coming back and possibly playing this week or not. We just have to see where it is at and we should know by Tuesday or Wednesday what it is." Suggs left the game late in the fourth quarter and didn't return. He got his arm pulled awkwardly when trying to tackle Steelers running back Isaac Redman, who busted through the arm tackle attempt. In pain, Suggs immediately sought treatment. After the game, Suggs said, "I'll be all right." On his Twitter account Monday night, Suggs wrote: "Waiting on 2nd opinion. Will keep ya'll posted. Don't panic! We do this every year! The MISSION is still the same. #NawlinsInFebruary" Before Suggs revealed the injury to Breer, the Ravens were hopeful that it wouldn't be a long-term injury. "I think we are encouraged that it may not be," Harbaugh said. "We'll just have to see. If I knew that for sure, if I could say that for sure, I would. I just can't right now but we have some encouragement there."
