Sportsday:
Foxsports.com and ESPN.com are both reporting that Philadelphia running back Brian Westbrook will not play tonight against the Dallas Cowboys.
Westbrook missed last week's win against the New York Giants because of a concussion. He practiced on Wednesday and Thursday but was held out of Friday's session. According to the reports, Eagles coach Andy Reid is likely to play it safe and give Westbrook one more week of recovery time.
Rookie LeSean McCoy would replace Westbrook as the starter. McCoy has averaged 4.2 yards for 70 carries but like many rookie running backs has struggled with the details of blocking against blitzes.
``He hasn't been through this, so every week there's something new for him,'' Reid said during the week. ``This is his first time playing the Cowboys and the older guys have played them a couple of times, four times, six times, so everything is new for him every week.''
