Rest In Peace “Ground and Pound”

Goodbye my good friend. New York Jets “Ground and Pound”, it was a damn good run my friend. Two solid years of intimidating defense and a powerful run game, enough to strike fear into the hearts of opponents. But now in 2011, our dear friend Ground and Pound has taken it’s last breath. We’ll now begin with the funeral procession. We’re gathered here today, to mourn in the loss of our great friend, our solid rock, Ground and Pound. We’ve all shared an incredible two years with Ground and Pound, who has taken us all the way to the AFC Championship twice in a row, regardless of a less than stellar quarterback. An intimidating offensive line that once included Damien Woody and Alan Faneca, used to open up holes that an 18-wheeler could drive through.
