Happy Thanksgiving everyone!!!  As Bengals fans, I think we’ve got a lot to be thankful for.  We’ve got a defense that seems to have a fire under their butt, a running game that is finally where we want it to be, a star receiver that has ball skills to match his humble personality and a Quarterback that isn’t a jerk.  This is the week I’ve been looking forward to all season.  The week that Palmer returns to PBS after his horrible parting from our fair city and we get to make him eat one of his own quotes: “I will never set foot in Paul Brown Stadium again.”  Let’s look at last week first. We did everything we needed to affirm that the team that took the Giants to the house is capable of repeating the performance.  The defense took care of Cassel AND Quinn and did a pretty good job of  stopping Charles.  The offense exploded with a running game that has been absent all year.  Benny finally hit 100 yards and Peerman didn’t have a shabby day either.  This is exactly the running game that Gruden has imagined for the last 2 years.  A lead running back that can get it done and a back up that can provide a change and also produce yards as well.  Dalton is the leader of this team.  His leadership is matched by his ability at his position.  He’s making decisions at the line and in the pocket that shows he can handle the pressure.  I think that Dalton and Maualuga are taking what Marvin said a couple weeks ago as seriously as they can.  This team CAN go to the playoffs AND get wins there…but will they? Week 1: Mon, Sep 10 – Cincinnati at Baltimore Ravens, 7 p.m. ET (ESPN) 13-44  L 0-1 1-0 on Picks Week 2: Sun, Sep 16 – Cleveland Browns at Cincinnati, 1 p.m. ET (CBS) 37-27   W 1-1 2-0 on Picks Week 3: Sun, Sep 23 – Cincinnati at Washington Redskins, 1 p.m. ET (CBS) 38-31 W 2-1 3-0 on Picks Week 4: Sun, Sep 30 – Cincinnati at Jacksonville Jaguars, 4:05 p.m. ET (CBS) 27-10 W 3-1 4-0 on Picks Week 5: Sun, Oct 7 – Miami Dolphins at Cincinnati, 1 p.m. ET (CBS) 17-13  L 3-2 4-1 on Picks Week 6: Sun, Oct 14 – Cincinnati at Cleveland, 1 p.m. ET (CBS) 34-24 L 3-3 4-2 on Picks Week 7: Sun, Oct 21 – Pittsburgh Steelers at Cincinnati, 8:20 p.m. ET (NBC) 12-17 L 3-4 4-3 on Picks Week 8: BYE Week 9: Sun, Nov 4 – Denver Broncos at Cincinnati, 1 p.m. ET (CBS) 31-23 L 3-5 4-4 on Picks Week 10: Sun, Nov 11 – New York Giants at Cincinnati, 1 p.m. ET (FOX) 31-13 W 4-5 4-5 on Picks Week 11: Sun, Nov 18 – Cincinnati at Kansas City Chiefs, 1 p.m. ET (CBS) 28-6 W 5-5 5-5 on Picks Week 12: Sun, Nov 25 – Oakland Raiders at Cincinnati, 1 p.m. ET (CBS) Palmer is going to be seeing green in his sleep for weeks after this game ’cause that’s what he’s going to be looking at all day…the turf.  I hope that he goes back to Cali wishing that he never did what he did…but…we’ve got to get to him first.  Palmer is third in the league for passing…as he should be because we know how good he is.  We can be bitter about what happened all we want but you can’t argue that he has a great arm and has the potential to put up big numbers.  We also know that the more he throws it the more INTs he’ll throw.  Just like every week, we need to shut down the run game, force Palmer to throw it and he’s bound to give up the ball a couple times. The offense needs to repeat it’s performance from Arrowhead and they NEED to do it at home.  The two biggest concerns I have for the Bengals are it’s consistency and it’s fans at home.  I believe that when you walk into a game at home knowing that it’s NOT sold out can have a mental affect on a team.  A team needs to know that it’s fans are behind them…no matter what.  I hope it never gets so bad here as what happened to the Chiefs but we’ve been close before.  Living out of state, I go to one game every year…and this is it.  The last time I checked the game still wasn’t sold out.  If you live close to Cincy then you NEED to get to this game.  If we’re gonna go on a run then the team needs it’s fans behind them.  Get your turkey on then get your ORANGE and BLACK on and get to the game this Sunday.  I’ll be tailgating so hit me up on Twitter @donnieredboy and come hang out.  Bengals will win in a high scoring affair.  38-27 W 6-5 Week 13: Sun, Dec 2 – Cincinnati at San Diego Chargers, 4:15 p.m. ET (CBS) W 7-5 Week 14: Sun, Dec 9 – Dallas Cowboys at Cincinnati, 1 p.m. ET (FOX) L 7-6 Week 15: Thu, Dec 13 – Cincinnati at Philadelphia Eagles, 8:20 p.m. ET (NFL) W 8-6 Week 16: Sun, Dec 23 – Cincinnati at Pittsburgh, 1 p.m. ET (CBS) W 9-6 Week 17: Sun, Dec 30 – Baltimore at Cincinnati, 1 p.m. ET (CBS) W 10-6
