Found June 18, 2013 on AFC East Daily:
Darrelle Revis has been all about the money since getting drafted by the New York Jets in 2007.So even though the All-World cornerback finally got the massive contract he's been pleading for via a trade to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Revis isn't done wheeling and dealing. According to Uni-Watch.com, Revis dished out $50,000 to acquire his No. 24 from second-year Bucs defensive back Mark Barron. Not a bad deal for Barron. Then again, not a bad deal for Revis, who is now making $16 million a year -- more than Barron's entire four-year rookie contract.Follow Nick @NickStDenisFollow AFC East Daily @AFCEastDaily

Revis pays Barron big money for 24

Darrelle Revis really wanted to wear number twenty-four and put his money where his mouth is paying new teammate, Mark Barron, a king's ransom.

82-Day New York Jets Warning – Quinton Coples Unleashed

Here at Turn On The Jets, we decided to take a page out of Robert Mays book over at Grantland (a polite way of saying rip his article idea off) by counting down the 115 days until the New York Jets kick off, with a daily reason to get excited about their return. Mays has the whole NFL to work with, we only have the Goddamn Jets…now there is a challenge, step your game up Mays...

Football Nation Preview: The 2013 Tampa Bay Buccaneers

2012 Record: 7-92012 DownfallTale of Two DefensesAfter the lax atmosphere perpetrated by Raheem Morris sunk the Bucs in 2011 (rock bottom in points allowed and run defense), discipline was needed. So Morris was canned following the season, and drill sergeant-minded Greg Schiano was imported from Rutgers. In one year, Schiano and new defensive coordinator Bill Sheridan did the impossible...

Rex Ryan lookalike catches foul ball while holding a hot dog

If you didn't know Rex Ryan was in New Jersey playing charity golf at Trump National golf course, you would swear that was the New York Jets head coach out at Progressive Field making an impressive one-handed grab of a foul ball while holding a hot dog Tuesday night. We know Rex already has a twin in brother Rob — who has hair down to his shoulders — so it couldn't...

New York Jets – A Closer Look At Tight End Kellen Winslow Jr

Despite a report from the New York Jets beat, namely Rich Cimini and his unnamed sources that questioned the signing of a former first round pick, at a position the Jets are woefully thin at…we at TOJ felt it was time to give an unbiased view of Kellen Winslow Jr. College Career Kellen WInslow Jr, the son of Hall of Fame Tight End Kellen Winslow Sr, was a member of the Miami Hurricanes...

Bleacher Report: Dee Milliner is not replacing Revis

Erik Frenz of BleacherReport.com put out a great article today, discussing why Jets CB Dee Milliner is not stepping into 'shoes to fill.'  Prehaps my favorite snippit: Whoever fills that spot has big shoes to fill: Cromartie himself set a lofty standard for that spot. As Cromartie could tell you—or, for that matter, anyone who has played the role of No. 2 cornerback...

Tampa Bay Buccaneers 2013 preseason roster roundup: Overview

(Image from CrossFit BNI) The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have been unable to find any post-season success in the past decade, only making the playoffs twice, neither of which were in the past five years. It’s repeated history like this that forces fans to continually ask questions like, “what makes this year any different?”, “is this organization even on the rise?” and “why...

No Huddle – New York Jets Summer Break Edition

TJ Rosenthal kicks off another week of New York Jets coverage at Turn On The Jets with his weekly No Huddle - Make sure to give TJ a follow on Twitter on Turn On The Jets a follow on Facebook. Antonio Cromartie: I Can Be, But Don’t Need To Be, The Best Corner In NFL

I know the title of this post is confusing and probably will lead to Antonio Cromartie receiving some backlash for these comments. Jets cornerback Antonio Cromartie is maturing, and with that he’s becoming a leader, and a team guy.  Darrelle Revis is gone, and Cromartie is the best defensive player on the team now. Cromartie for his part thinks he could be the best corner in the...

Is There A Mute Button?: The Jets Open Their Mouths... AGAIN!

I've grown up as a Jets fan. We are used to losing on field, but lately we've been losing both off and on the field. It's like there's a chronic need for the Jets to put their foot inside one's mouth.Nick Mangold spoke to Jets' reporter Bart Hubbach of the New York Post. He commented on how the Bill Belichick must be losing his mind in New England:"I...

Braylon, Brandon, and Ben: The Jets Veteran Wide Receiver Question

Image Credits: SB Nation, US Presswire, Associated Press Please join us in welcoming our newest writer, Jason Astafan (@murse13), to the OJT staff.  I would love to get a look at the paper the New York Jets Depth Chart is written on—I mean the official copy. Under wide receiver, it must look like swiss cheese with all the holes at the position. With Santonio Holmes...

Jets' wideouts need to find their hands by camp

The New York Jets' offense was an absolute disaster last season, and 2013 could be more of the same if the wide receivers don't get it together.By all accounts, including the coaches', Gang Green's wideouts had a major case of the dropsies last week, something head coach Rex Ryan clearly was discouraged with. "You're an NFL player," Ryan told the media...

Bucs sign CB Michael Adams, waive G Jeremy Lewis

TAMPA, Fla. (AP) -- The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have signed veteran free agent cornerback Michael Adams. The team announced the move Wednesday, adding the seventh-year pro to the roster and waiving guard Jeremy Lewis. Adams started seven of 74 games he's appeared in with the Arizona Cardinals over the past six seasons. He has three career interceptions, one forced fumble and four...

Coach's Corner: Strickland on Cro's Cousin

Marcus Cromartie's surname helped him get on the radar of NFL scouts, but it won't win him a roster spot in San Diego. The cousin of the more heralded Antonio Cromartie, Marcus looks to beat the odds and stick as an UDFA. For more on Marcus and his quest, we check in with Wisconsin assistant coach Ben Strickland.
