Found April 26, 2013 on The Bay Cave:

The Buccaneers did not have a selection in the first round of the draft Thursday night but that did not stop the team from hosting their annual draft day party for the fans.  The party featured several Buccaneers players in attendance, including the introduction of the two major offseason acquisitions, Dashon Goldson and Darrelle Revis. Both received a warm welcome by the fans in attendance. Fans were excited, chanting “Revis, Revis” as they watched him interview with Buccaneers.com’s Rachel Ramirez. She asked him if he is excited about changing the Bucs worst pass defense in 2012 to one of the top ones in the league moving forward. It appears the Bucs secondary will have a nickname heading into the 2013 season according to Revis. We’re gonna change that. We’re gonna change the pass defense all around. We got some great guys back in the secondary. Mark Barron, Eric Wright, me and Dashon Goldson — it’s called the no fly zone. That’s what we’re calling it, the no fly zone. The Bucs were last in the league in 2012 as they allowed 4,758 yards. If the “No Fly Zone” lives up to Revis’ expectations, the only thing left is for the front seven (or four) to get after the quarterback and serve as air traffic controllers. Saban doesn’t like the Dee Milliner and Darrelle Revis comparisons

Nick Saban isn’t a man with much patience for the media. He comes from the Bill Belichick coaching tree, so that isn’t overly surprising. The Alabama coach didn’t take kindly to the media prodding him with questions and statements after cornerback Dee Milliner was selected 9th overall by the New York Jets in Thursday night’s first round of the NFL Draft. Most of them were...

Pondering mock draft post Bucs/Jets Revis trade

We were about two-thirds of the way through our Team Blogger Mock Draft when the trade between Tampa Bay and the New York Jets illustrated the complete futility of the effort by making a trade that made it obsolete. I probably should have gone back and re-done it, but I was running out of time. So I left it as it was and moved on, but I did want to address the trade and its impact...

2013 Mock Draft: Tampa Bay Buccaneers Final Predictions

2013 NFL Draft: Can we get started already?

Tonight is finally the start of the 2013 NFL Draft. Personally, I have to say this day could not have gotten here any faster. We are all that much more closer to the start of the NFL regular season (131 days) but I don’t think I could have endured another couple of weeks of the rumor mill. The trade of New York Jets CB Darrelle Revis to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers wore on me. The...
