Washington-redskins-new
Still trying to figure out the quarterback situation with the Redskins? Take a number, get in line. We all are. In fact I’ve been sitting here most of the day reading the news and insights when I thought about something:  What would you do right now  if you were Rex Grossman? Here’s a man that in a couple of months will be a free agent. The gloves will be off. Everything will be on the table, and it’ll be two points of thought: “It’s only a matter of time”, or “Here’s what we have for you to do next season”.  I believe that he knows that. Rex Grossman has been given chances to do better. He’s been given a chance to do better each and every time he’s been on the football field.  The Washington Post quoted him explaining his plans to cut down the interceptions. He’s been saying all week about how he hopes he gets a chance to come back. And there it is : The  conceding of a job. That’s just aggravating, or wh...

  • Flynn might be a good fit here, if the packers do not get greedy. If I am the packers I would be looking for picks in the 2013 or 2014 seasons. Perhaps a 3 in 2013 and a 1 in 2014.

No way Washington gives up drafts pick this year, they need them badly, but they might be willing to pay a higher price if the other team puts off the draft year.
  • sure he should for the past 10 years nothing good has came out of this team since mark rypien was qb...owner is to blame he has no clue how to run his team...remember its his team..not ours...we just support them by buying there colors...they hire a coach that i belive players wont play for just go ask john elway...and he brings in his son...who the hell is he....again i blame the owner he dont care we should not support them and youl see change...GO GIANTS now thats a good owner for the FANS

2012 NFL Mock Draft: Redskins Have Several Choices

The Washington Redskins have no excuses this year as to why they couldn’t pick a quarterback for the  2012 season. There are some good quarterbacks in the 2012 NFL Draft that could make an impact. So let’s “go there”: Who would be a good fit for the Washington Redskins? If the 2012 NFL Draft were held today, here are the players I would expect the Redskins...

Kerrigan Quietly Mic’d On NFL’s ‘Sound FX’

It recently came to my attention that Redskins rookie linebacker Ryan Kerrigan was featured on the NFL Network’s show “Sound FX,” which features microphone’d players and whatever they have to say over the course of a game. The microphone in his helmet was used to catch his interactions between teammates, coaches and opponents during the Redskins-Vikings game...

Rocca Came Here To Win A Championship

AP Image Shortly before Christmas, I had the opportunity to talk football with Australian Broadcasting Corporation correspondent Craig McMurtrie and his cameraman Louie Eroglu at Redskins Park. It turned out that not only has Redskins punter Sav Rocca been a punting stud in Washington this season, but he’s also turned heads 10,000 miles away in his native Australia.  The reason...

Chris Cooley certain he’ll be back with Redskins

Tight end Chris Cooley played in only five games this season and finished two of the past three seasons on injured reserve. Still, he has no questions about his future in Washington. “I have no doubt that I’ll be here,” he said. “I’m excited to continue to be a part of this team and to continue playing the game that I love.” Read full article >>

Cowboys-Giants outrates Redskins-Eagles in Washington market

The conventional wisdom is that Washington is unlike many other East Coast sports cities in fairly obvious ways. Here’s another piece of evidence: In all 30 NFL markets, the most-watched television show last week involved an NFL game. (The 49ers and Raiders, and Jets and Giants share a market.) In 27 of those markets, the most-watched television show last week involved the home...

Redskins' logos still subject of court battle

A years-long effort to cancel six Washington Redskins' federal trademarks is scheduled for trial next month before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office's Trademark Trial and Appeal Board, according to board documents. The petition by five Native Americans, Blackhorse vs. Pro-Football, Inc., asserts the team's name and logo are offensive. ...

Season Ending Power Rankings Roundup

AP Image Power rankings are designed to be equivalent to an approximate rankings of NFL teams, No. 1-32.  What it actually turns into is an over-hyped barometer that shamelessly follows winning and losing streaks, and has no ability to predict future results. In other words, it’s pointless in principle, product and practice.  But they are fun when your team is winning. Throughout...

Redskins considering ex-Buccaneers coach Morris as DB aide

The Washington Redskins are considering Raheem Morris for a position coaching defensive backs, according to league sources.
