Rex Grossman returned to the field on Sunday, which we should all agree is a good thing for the Redskins. No, they didn’t win, but Beck not being the quarterback was positive for several reasons. Here’s three of them: 1. He actually moved the offense. And he does this by throwing to wide receivers, some of which are actually beyond 10 yards downfield. Grossman completed 12 passes to WRs on Sunday for 157 yards. Beck completed 10 for 88 yards against the Niners and 7 for 85 yards against the Bills. Grossman’s yards per completion and completion percentage on Sunday were also higher than Beck’s against S.F. and Buffalo. 2. He gives us a chance to see what the receivers can do, via actually throwing to them. This applies specifically to Leonard Hankerson, who we’re all praying could be a No. 1 someday. With Grossman at QB on Sunday, we got a taste of what the rookie WR is capable of as he hauled in 8 balls for 106 yards. Hope is very important in a season like this. Grossman-to-Hanker...
