PLAYERS: Rex Ryan
Rex Ryan spent the morning with his team addressing anonymous players talking trash about one another in the media, Conor Orr of the Newark Star-Ledger reports. "We're not going to say 'Hey this is what we're saying to the media, this is what we're telling everybody,'" Rex Ryan said. "We're not always going to be lined up ... we're going to tell you what we believe." Ryan did, however, refer to the act of players anonymously ripping others as "cowardly." "Did I address it? I absolutely addressed it because I think it's as cowardly thing as there is," he said. The coach suggested that this could continue to bring the team closer together. "Obviously people are here today because of a negative comment on a teammate, which I don't appreciate. If you're going to make a negative comment that's fine -- we never say that it's going to be a bed of roses, but put your name to it. I think people will respect you a lot more." He added: "I don't think we have the same problem, I don't think it was existed the way it was portrayed to. I made it my personal agenda to go out and fix it. If I'm going to be judged on this team coming together or not, that's fine with me and I'll be here for a long time." Source: The Redzone Attached Thumbnails

Rex Fuels the Fire for Jets Distractions

Florham Park, N.J.: Sometimes you have to know when to keep quiet.Rex Ryan stepped to the podium today and almost, repeat almost, didn't feed into answering questions about an article put out by the New York Daily News that said about a dozen players anonymously said Tim Tebow simply isn't good enough to start."First off, if a player doesn't put their name to something...

Rex Ryan cried again, asked team, “When are you guys going to believe?” after loss in Seattle

After the Jets loss to the Seahawks Sunday, Rex Ryan went all Dick Vermeil again: In his postgame address to the team, Ryan got so emotional that he actually cried, according to several players.... Full story at Bob's Blitz ~ http://www.bobsblitz.com

Debate: Rex Ryan as Patriots Defensive Coordinator in 2013?

It seems impossible, but for the sake of fun, let's not rule it out. Would you want Rex Ryan to come to New England to coach the much maligned Patriots defense? Would Rex want to do that? Would Belichick?  These are the questions we at PatriotsLife had some varying opinions on. Here's a recap of our e-mail debate. Be sure to chime in with your thoughts in the comments section...

Jets Will Stick By Wildcat, Rex Ryan Says

A tired-looking Rex Ryan returned from Seattle after what he described as a “long night” following the Jets 28-7 loss to the Seahawks Sunday. But even in his fatigue, Ryan stressed essentially what he had last night: the quarterback situation, and the wildcat situation, will not change as a result of the demoralizing loss in Seattle. Asked if it is time to give up on the wildcat...

Time for Rex to admit Sanchez is not his ‘guy’

I am pretty sure I lost a bet earlier this season when I predicted Mark Sanchez would be benched by Week 10. At the start of the 2012 season, things were looking okay for the Jets. All they really needed to focus on is getting through a tough first half, fix mistakes during the bye, and storm through a much easier second-half schedule. But, the Jets did not do what they needed to...

Rex Ryan Defends Jets Beleaguered Offensive Coordinator Tony Sparano

Despite the Jets offense being ranked 30th in the NFL, coach Rex Ryan and offensive coordinator Tony Sparano both said they see signs of improvement. The Jets failed to score an offensive touchdown in Seattle last week and have scored six touchdowns total in seven of their nine games. Even with those struggles, Ryan said he is happy with the job Sparano has done in his first season...

Rex Ryan Cried After Loss to Seahawks

New York Daily News They have already lost Santonio Holmes and Darrelle Revis to season-ending injuries. There is the spectacle that the trade for Tim Tebow has become. Now, according to ESPN New York, things got so bad Sunday for the New York Jets after their loss to the Seattle Seahawks, as head coach Rex Ryan was driven to tears by several different things. Ryan was quoted...

New York Jets: Week 11 NFL Power Rankings (#27)

Last week: 27 (-2) Record: 3-6 I’ve been wondering for a few weeks, at least, why Rex Ryan hadn’t benched Mark Sanchez for Tim Tebow. It didn’t make any sense to me why (assuming he had brought Tebow in to be an alternative to Mark Sanchez) he hadn’t swapped out Sanchez, who is completing 52% of his passes for a 3-6 team, for his alternative. Well, he answered that question...

Turn On The Jets Week 11 Roundtable – Jets vs. Rams Match-Ups

Joe Caporoso - I hate to reiterate what most of our writers are saying but how could you not look forward to Rex Ryan’s defense versus Brian Schottenheimer’s offense? Without question a low point in a year full of them would be to watch Schottenheimer hang a 35 spot on Ryan. Considering how much crap Schotty took while he was here and how much pride Rex takes in his defense...

Rex Ryan: Tebow Comments “Cowardly”

Per a report from CNN’s Sports Illustrated, New York Jets head coach Rex Ryan thinks the player(s) who called Tim Tebow “terrible” are “a cowardly thing.”  Ryans comments are in response to an earlier report of over a dozen Jets players and members of the organization anonymously criticizing Tebow. Ryan is absolutely right; if you want to call Tebow terrible, be like the...

New York Jets – Rex and Sanchez Try To Save Each Other

As the Jets offense continues to struggle while the losses pile up, we wonder about what this will mean at seasons end for both Rex Ryan and Mark Sanchez. The Jets starting QB is once again demonstrating poor body language and self admittedly has become affected by the Tebow substitutions, leading to making too many poor decisions at crucial times. Ryan meanwhile, is defiantly sticking...

Confirmed: People want Andy Reid, Romeo Crennel and Rex Ryan to lose their Jobs

It's not easy being an NFL head coach, especially when anyone and everyone can create not-so-glowing tribute Web sites demanding your job. Andy Reid, Norv Turner, Rex Ryan and Ron Rivera are just four of the coaches suffering this fate.

The circus arrives when the Rams face the Jets

ST. LOUIS - Cue the calliope. You thought last weeks tie was a circus? Well, the show must roll on, because the New York Jets land in our fair city with the largest red noses in the NFL. Where to start with the gang thats always green with envy? Theres the 3-6 record, good for last place in the AFC East. There are the three consecutive losses, including a combined 58-16 spanking...

One Man's Opinion: NFL Power Rankings after Week 10
