Rex Ryan is known for his loud-mouthed guarantees and yapping his jaw about whipping the opponent they face that week. When he speaks, I usually disregard everything he has to say because most of it is for the cameras. Behind closed doors though, he can be a hell of a coach. He must be, as he’s ran great defenses and one led the Jets to two straight AFC Championship games. The Jets have fallen off the map since then however, but Ryan is still trying to motivate his guys. Following Sunday’s 28-7 loss to the Seattle Seahawks, the big Teddy Bear that Ryan has been hiding beneath his skin came out in the locker room according to Rich Cimini of ESPN New York.  Cimini wrote: In his postgame address to the team, Ryan got so emotional that he actually cried, according to several players. He was everything in the locker room — mad, frustrated, urging. And harsh. According to players, he asked the pointed question, “When are you guys going to believe?” Rex Ryan cried following Sunday’s loss at Seattle (AP Photo) Yes, Rex Ryan was in tears following the loss that all but knocked out the Jets from playoff contention with a 3-6 record. The Jets have fallen to a new low, and a place they’ve never been under Ryan’s tenure as head coach, losing three in a row and five of their last six games (9 out of 12 going back to last season). Ryan summed it up perfectly at his post-game news conference, eyes still red and swollen: “A brutal loss”. He continued, ”Every single one of them hurts, guys, every one of them,” He wasn’t the only emotional one in the locker room according to LB Bryan Thomas. “We’re all emotional,” said Thomas. “If this doesn’t affect everybody, you don’t have a f——- heart.” Not only emotional, but pissed. “We’re all pissed,” he said. “We can’t let games slip away. We don’t have much time left. We have only seven damn games to go. Time is slipping.” Mark Sanchez has, to be brutal, sucked this season and many are calling for Tim Tebow. He can’t be any worse, right? At least Sanchez can admit he sucks, unlike his head coach. “We can’t win with the way I played today,” Sanchez said. So much for Antonio Cromartie’s playoff guarantee… The Jets have issues, and they need to figure them out fast, otherwise there will be a rebuild in New York before we know it.
