Found April 19, 2013 on Bush League Chronicle:

On Thursday, the National Football League released 2013 schedules for all 32 teams. The slate is filled with great games from top-to-bottom, but New York Jets coach Rex Ryan is not happy about one game in particular. And what makes it odd is the fact that the game doesn't even involve his own team. No, Ryan is steamed that the defending champion Baltimore Ravens will be opening up the regular season on the road against the Denver Broncos because of a scheduling conflict with Baltimore's MLB team, the Orioles. He went on a mini-rant Thursday to help prove his point.“Well, who really cares, you've got 81 at home, maybe you could have done the right thing and given one up and then played 82 on the road and then 80 at home,” Ryan said per Seth Waldman of the New York Daily-News. “I really don't think people are going to care about that game."You have a chance to have the defending world champs open up the season at home where they rightfully should. That's unfortunate."It's possible that Ryan could have some bias toward the situation, though. Ryan spent many years in Baltimore (1999-2008) serving as an assistant before taking his current position with New York.“Certainly, I can understand, if baseball only had a 16-game schedule you might understand it,” Ryan said. "But when they have 162 games, you might just [have the] common courtesy and say, you know what, maybe I'll play this one on the road or whatever.“It's not just my love of Baltimore, I do love Baltimore, but I love this New York area here better than I do Baltimore now. It's just the way it is. It's not just my loyalty to that fan base."So, there you go. I doubt Ryan will be attending many Orioles games this season.Via CBS Sports

  • Ryan is such a moron, hope he enjoys his LAST season as a Head Coach in the NFL. He never ceases to amaze me with the STUPID things that he says. Like his comment awhile back about the Darrell Revis trade rumors. Recently Rex Ryan addressed the situation involving the trade rumors where Darrell Revis is concerned. He made his comment during Day 1 of the NFL Combine. Once again he showed what a monumental idiot he is with his response to the questions about the Revis trade rumors. Below is an excerpt from Ryan's comment in an article by sports writer Peter Schrager of FoxSports.com. If someone wanted Revis on their fantasy team and therefore started this rumor as Rex is saying...WHAT THE HELL DOES IT MATTER IF HE IS A JET OR PLAYING FOR SOMEONE ELSE? My God, I actually kind of feel kind of sorry for Jets fans, and that's saying alot consdidering I'm a long time Giants fan. This just continues to prove what a poor choice this clown is for a head coaching job. There are only 32 head coaching slots in the NFL ON THE PLANET!!!! And yet somehow the Jets brass thinks this fool is the answer to making the team a contender. They only succeeded the first two seasons under Rex because he inherited a pretty good team from top to bottom...they are a shell of those teams now and Ryan is an anchor that is quickly pulling this organization down. But wait!!??#$%!!....I'm a Giants fan...so actually this is OK with me, keep up the good work Rex. Oh by the way Rex, the mechanic called, your 'Clown Car' is due for an oil change. Read Rex's eloquent, (snicker), revelation below:
“Plain and simple, it’s not accurate. I told Darrelle that. If he was to be involved in a trade, I think he and his agents would know about it. As would the general manager and myself. I don’t know where things like that get drummed up from. Maybe someone was a big fan of fantasy football and would like to have him on his team.”

Whaaaaaaaaaaaaatttt!!!! So now he shows again just how dumb he is with his comment about how a Major League franchise should change their schedule for an NFL football team. Baltimore will have a Home Opener, what the hell does it matter if it's the first game of the season or not. Besides, the defense of their Super Bowl will not result in back to back Lombardi's anyway. They gave up way too much this off season to be able to repeat.
  • Much to do about nothing..
  • You mean 'Nothing' as in the jets won't do 'Nothing' this season. Then the NFL will finally be rid of this monumental jackasss!!!!!
