Trent Richardson Stuck in Neutral in NFL Debut With Browns

Browns running back Trent Richardson received 19 carries Sunday against the Eagles but he couldn't find any running room due to the ineptitude of the Browns passing offense.Fantasy Spin:Richardson didn't play in the preseason after having arthroscopic knee surgery in August. He finished with 39 yards, a 2.1 ypc average, while catching one pass for five yards. Brandon Weeden...

Browns expect Trent Richardson to start, but may limit his carries

Trent Richardson had 2 knee surgeries this offseason, including one just about a month ago, but he’s still expected to start this week against the Eagles. However, the Browns may limit his carries after he was limited in practice all week. Montario Hardesty will be the beneficiary of Richardson ceding any carries on early downs, while 3rd down specialist Brandon Jackson will continue...

15 reasons the Browns will win and 15 reasons they will lose

Cleveland Browns fans are tired of waiting and hoping for someday. The Browns had the fourth youngest team in the NFL last year; and they are going to be even younger in 2012. Fifteen rookies including QB Brandon Weeden and RB Trent Richardson made the team to go along with 11 second-year players and seven players entering their third year. That means that 62% (33 players) of...

Robert Griffin III Headed For Rude NFL Welcome at Superdome

Let me start by saying that I believe Robert Griffin III is going to have a long and successful NFL career. He is a brilliant young quarterback with the arm and legs, to back up his mind. However, he is still a rookie, and every rookie experiences growing pains.Even in a great performance last night in the win over the Giants, Morris Claiborne had rookie moments. For a cornerback...

Redskins New Era Faces Stern First Test

Griffin III veteran-like as Redskins outslug Saints

NEW ORLEANS -- So much for that steep learning curve. Showcasing his amazing athletic package of speed and accuracy, Robert Griffin III toyed with a dazed New Orleans Saints defense to power the Washington Redskins to a 40-32 victory Sunday in a spectacular NFL debut at the Mercedes Benz Superdome. Griffin completed 19-of-26 passes for 320 yards and two touchdowns, and he burned...

Saints Lose to the Skins? Pfft. Pfft. Pfft.

It’s a bad game when the Saints MVP candidate is Astroturf, as it had a better shot of tripping up Robert Griffin III than its defense. I must hand it to RGIII, however. He looked mature in his first outing and in time will emerge as a smarter, more controlled version of Michael Vick. And, that’s gonna be dangerous for all us non-Redskins football fans. Goodness gracious, could...
