I can’t recall a closer battle being made for the NFL Rookie of the Year award. It almost seems unfair for one player to win and the other not to, but so is the nature of the league, only one can be the champion. Both Robert Griffin III and Russell Wilson had marvelous rookie campaigns this season, and both equally deserve winning the prestigious award. Who deserves it more, and which one will be the 2012 Rookie of the Year? Robert Griffin III put up some very deserving numbers this season, while leading the Washington Redskins to their first playoff appearance since 2007, where ironically they lost to the Seattle Seahawks 35-14. Griffin was very vocal in the Redskins winning the NFC East division and earning a wild card berth by completing 258 out of 393 passes for 3,200 yards, 65.6 avg., an 8.1 avg., 20 TDs and only five interceptions. As a dual-threat, he rushed for 815 yards on 120 carries, 6.8 avg., and found the end zone seven times. However he did fumble the ball 12 times. R...

Seahawks Looking To Add A Similar QB To Russell Wilson?

Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll mentioned that they discussed the possibility of adding a quarterback with a similar skill set to that of Russell Wilson, which is obviously the exact opposite of Matt Flynn. “We’ve talked a lot about that,” Carroll said, via the Tacoma News Tribune.. “It would be nice to have another guy that might be able to be a factor that way. Video: Little girl has meltdown after watching her Seahawks lose to Falcons

The Atlanta Falcons nearly suffered a monumental meltdown during Sunday's 30-28 victory over the Seattle Seahawks in the NFC playoffs. Unfortunately, a 10-year-old Seahawks fan wasn't so lucky. Trailing 27-7 entering the fourth quarter, the odds of a comeback for Seattle were very slim, especially being on the road. However, Russell Wilson and the Seahawks scored 21 unanswered...

What’s next for Seattle’s heart-attack Hawks?

Russell Wilson and the Seattle Seahawks followed their come-from-behind win against the Washington Redskins in dramatically painful fashion. Against the Atlanta Falcons, they dug a 20-0 hole in the first half, but clawed back to take a 28-27 lead with a half-minute left. Or did they? For a few surreal moments, I wondered if Marshawn Lynch had scored or fumbled at the goal-line. Did...

Seahawks could look to trade Matt Flynn

Before Russell Wilson came out of nowhere, Matt Flynn was supposed to be the Seahawks' starting quarterback. Before the season started, however, it was Wilson, not Flynn that was named the Seahawks' starting quarterback, and it was without question the right move. Now, however, the Seahawks have a very expensive backup quarterback that could be trade ammunition in the offseason...

As belongings were packed up, the phrase became a popular refrain coming from all corners of the Seattle Seahawks locker room. ''We have a really good core group here.'' Moments in time…The Seattle Seahawks week that was

Seattle Seahawks: The Future looks exceptionally bright in the Emerald City

The Seattle Seahawks were eliminated from post-season play on Sunday, losing 30-28 to the Atlanta Falcons. Seahawks fans however should not lament the loss, rather, be excited for the future. Falcons survive Seahawks

This game, the one over the weekend I looked forward to the most, was what I expected. Atlanta benefited from big home field advantage and the Falcons (NFL’s least penalized team) were only penalized for 11 yards. Seahawks looked jetlagged to start and fell behind 20-0 at halftime. Russell Wilson showed a little inexperience at the end of the first half as the Seahawks were unable...

The Seahawks would eventually fall short, and in this video courtesy of Off...
