CBS analyst and former Minnesota quarterback believes that the Vikings did the right thing when they bypassed Johnny Manziel and selected Teddy Bridgewater in the 2014 NFL Draft.
The team took Bridgewater with the No. 32 pick after passing on Manziel with their No. 8 selection (LB Anthony Barr), and then Browns selected Manziel at No. 22.
The former signal caller said Bridgewater is in a excellent position with veteran Matt Cassel ahead of him and taking the pressure off of the rookie.
In Cleveland, Brian Hoyer is the No. 1 guy, but for how long?
If Hoyer struggles, the calls for Manziels will ring out, If Cassel struggles the team can slide in Christian Ponder as a buffer before officially handing over the offense to Bridgewater.
