If you can’t beat ‘em, join ‘em.
That’s what Rich Ohrnberger is hoping to do, as the former New England Patriot will attend a try out with the world champion New York Giants.
As you may recall, the Giants beat the Patriots in this year’s Super Bowl for the second time since 2008. Ohrnberger had been a member of the more recent Pats Super Bowl losing squad, although he spent the entire season in the injured reserve list.
Ohrnberger is originally from East Meadow, New York, which is on Long Island, so potentially joining the Giants would be sort of a homecoming for him.

Marcus Forston NFL Draft Analysis - 2010 Season (by TMBDraft)
Interesting analysis of Patriots rookie free agent Marcus Forston. We’ve talked about it ad nauseum but the need for true interior rushers is one of the most under-mentioned needs for the Pats.
Forston clearly has the ability to get off the snap quickly. He should give Myron Pryor and Jonathan Fanene some competition.
The World Champion New York Giants have not done anything over the top this offseason, but have done enough to not be completely forgotten. Despite winning on the grandest stage of them all, the Giants still have room for improvement. They finished 9-7 (should have been 8-8), barely making the playoffs.
New York had three notable losses during the free agency period. Super Bowl...
There were more questions than I knew what to do with for this week's mailbag, so I want to thank everyone who submitted one. In reality, I could have used 20-30 of them, and the readers deserve a pat on the back for that. Let's get it going. Hi Jeff, when are the Patriots planning to sign their draft picks? Do you know if they are any closer? -- @hhRafael24, via Twitter...

On Thursday, the Patriots announced a slew of coaching changes, including, most notably, the promotion of Matt Patricia, who will serve as the team’s defensive coordinator.
Though tweaking his staff is a regular offseason chore for head coach Bill Belichick, it was a bit different this time around with his spawn coming aboard.
Per ESPNBoston.com, Steve Belichick, Bill’s son,...
Giants DE Osi Umenyiora took to Twitter to kindly wish rival Lesean McCoy a happy Mother’s Day.
Fans might remember the Twitter feud that developed last year between the two players, when Shady called Osi “overrated” and “soft”. It appears that the Giants DE hasn’t forgotten their beef.
The New England Patriots announced on Thursday, coaching moves which included the addition of another member of the Belichick family. Several moves were made Thursday, including the naming of a new defensive coordinator for the Patriots. New York Jets head coach Rex Ryan isn't one to bite his tongue and he won't tell his players to pipe down, either. When Jets cornerback Darrelle Revis fired off some interesting comments about New England Patriots head coach Bill Belichick and quarterback Tom Brady, Rex Ryan had no problem with it.

New England Patriots offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels has been back with the team for a few months now, but spoke with the media for the first time Friday, at the opening of rookie camp.
The Patriots offense was largely a well-oiled machine in 2011, but it did lack a deep threat. Currently, New England has 12 receivers on the roster, which will lead...
Former Philadelphia Eagles offensive lineman Jamaal Jackson, who was at New York Giants rookie mini-camp on a tryout, has retired from the NFL.
"My thing was I always wanted to walk away from the game on my own terms and this will kind of give me an idea of where I'm at," Jackson told reporters on Friday. "If it works out, fine, if it doesn't, I'll...
He’s well respected in NFL circles, and arrived with Bill Belichick in 2000. He’s been a part of the transformation of the New England Patriots, from doormats to champions. He’s learned from some of the best coaches in the business, including Romeo Crennell, the architect of the 2003-2004 great defenses. He’s coached Ted Bruschi, Ted Johnson, Roman Phifer, and a host of others...
