There is no love lost between the Redskins and Seahawks, so it came as little surprise that emotions quickly boiled over during -- and after -- Sunday night's Wild Card matchup.
Ironically, in fact, the contest both began and ended in hostility.
The first play saw a scuffle between both squads, and the final whistle brought about actions by Trent Williams that will surely land him in some hot water.
Following the Seattle's 24-14 win, the Redskins offensive lineman confronted Seahawks cornerback Richard Sherman and greeted him with a punch to the kisser.
Sherman, ever the sportsman, responded by waiving goodbye to Williams, a not-so-subtle reminder that his team was just eliminated from the postseason.
While Williams for sure will be hearing from the league office, it's fair to wonder if perhaps Sherman had this coming to him. He's one of the NFL's biggest trash talkers -- lest we forget? -- and spent a majority of the game jawing with Washington's players and coaches...
