Waiting For Next Year:
For the younger guys that haven’t started winning yet in the NFL, we’re just getting our confidence up in the league. For the vets, they are just like, ‘We’ve got to keep going. We can’t get satisfied with it.’ That’s one thing we’re trying to learn as a rookie group, that we can’t get satisfied with it. For us, we’ve just got to keep on trucking. [...] It’s always nice to talk about victories no matter what. If it’s an ugly win or a bad win, no matter it’s always good to talk about victories. We’ve still got a lot to conquer and stuff like that. We’ve still got a lot of goals to reach. We’re still going and we’re still trying to get to where we want to be. We haven’t gotten there yet, we’ve still got a lot to put together, but we know we’re on the right page.
– Cleveland Browns running back Trent Richardson, Wednesday, discussing what it is like to finally be able to talk about wins. The Browns, with their win in Oakland this past Sunday, won consecutive games for the first time since September of 2011.

I have been told by many Browns fans to be patient, hang in there and just wait till next year. Now I am being told what an all time stud Brandon Weeden is. I think part of the problem has to be the Cleveland fans lost there favorite team in 1995 and they were so happy to finally get the team back in 1999 that they settle for mediocrity. Sure the Cleveland Browns have just won...
This time it comes from longtime Pro Football Weekly editor Hub Arkush, as respected a name as there is in the business, who’s hit all the big Cleveland news outlets with his report.
Per Tony Grossi, Arkush says:
“We have it confidentially from very good sources close to the story that Mike [Lombardi] is a strong front-runner for the job. If you work (your) way backwards you’ll...
Kansas City Chiefs running back Peyton Hillis shot back at his former teammate, tackle Joe Thomas, who in a lenghty tirade, blasted Hillis for susposedly selling out on his team in his pursuit for a new contract.
In a nutshell, Thomas accused Hillis of not always play hard during his time in Cleveland, while creating a "toxic" environment in the locker room by thinking...
Browns GM Tom Heckert has a chance to stay as the team’s GM after the season, per Fox. Rumors abound as to whether or not Michael Lombardi will take Heckert’s job.
“There’s really not a lot of substance to the conversation,” Lombardi said. “There’s just a lot of rumors and innuendos. There’s really nothing to it.”
Heckert was part of the staff that drafted key contributors...
I was glancing through the headlines yesterday and today of all the places covering Joe Thomas’ comments on Peyton Hillis and something just didn’t sit right with me. ESPN said Joe Thomas “blasts” Peyton Hillis. Dawgs By Nature said that Thomas “Rips Into” Peyton Hillis. ESPN Cleveland said Thomas “tees off” on Peyton Hillis. This is not to criticize any of these...
After what seemed like years of spending high draft picks on the defensive side of the ball, the Browns focused on the offense this past April. RB Trent Richardson came off the board first, a pick higher than the Browns even had going into the draft. At number twenty-two in the first round the Browns grabbed QB Brandon Weeden. RT Mitchell Schwartz was the pick in round number two...
CLEVELAND (AP) -- The Browns are coming to reality TV.
A new series, "NFL Road Tested: The Cleveland Browns," will premier Tuesday night on the Travel Channel, giving fans a behind-the-scenes look at the NFL team. The five-part series will include features on players and show the inner workings of the team during the regular season. A film crew went to kicker Phil Dawson...
Their record won’t be an indication, but the Cleveland Browns are slowly starting to turn things around. They likely won’t make the playoffs, unless they win out and have a ton of help, but that doesn’t mean they are going just to roll over for teams. Rookies have played huge roles for the Browns this [...]

Browns offensive tackle Joe Thomas called former teammate Peyton Hillis ''a terrible distraction'' last season, and said the running back put his contract situation ahead of the team.
Hillis is returning to play in Cleveland this week with the Kansas City Chiefs. Thomas unloaded Wednesday on Hillis, saying he didn't always play hard and called his time with the...
Since 1999 there hasn’t been much positive to come the Cleveland Browns way, however with new ownership come fresh ideas. The Browns will be the focus of a Travel Channel show that chronicles the life of an NFL team as they travel on the road. The debuts tonight December 4 [...]

This week’s Average Joe William Green is hailed for his legendary Forest Gump-like scamper that clinched a playoff berth and is more widely known for a love triangle involving a DUI, weed, a stabbing, and one shoe and one sock. Say hello to a man who was supposed to let his athletic ability be the future of the Cleveland Browns, but let his lack of brains get in the way.
Chiefs running back Peyton Hillis responded tersely to comments by former teammate Joe Thomas, likening him to a ''crazy ex-girlfriend'' who won't move on.
Thomas, the Browns' offensive tackle, said Wednesday that Hillis didn't always play hard during his time in Cleveland. He referred to Hillis as ''toxic'' and accused him of putting...
