Rihanna Hatin'? Ain't Blamin' Braylon

If you're anything like us, your first reaction upon hearing the news that sultry songbird Rihanna recently refused a $10,000 bottle of champagne from Braylon Edwards and a group of his New York Jets teammates at an L.A.* nightclub was to wonder if she hadn't immediately become a frontrunner for the 2009 Cleveland Frowns Person of the Year Award.Of course, we appreciate as much as anyone the notion that Rihanna did at this nightclub what the Browns should have done at the 2005 draft, as does the CFPOY Nominations Committee.  But after long hours of careful deliberation and near friendship-shattering debate, a consensus has emerged that's as sympathetic to Braylon as any that one might have hoped for at the outset.The consensus is tenuous, to be sure, as certain of what some see as its underlying assumptions remain hotly contested among Committee members.  It's not as easy as it usually is to explain the Committee's decision, though we may usefully share...
