New England Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski said Wednesday that he is not ready to join his teammates on the field for organized team activities, but there have been no setbacks in his recovery from a torn right ACL. “It’s coming along [well],” Gronkowski said. “Just rehabbing every day, improving every single week, and that’s all I can ask for.” Gronkowski has had a smoother offseason than last year, when he was affected by multiple surgeries on his forearm. “It’s way different stuff [this year],” he said. “Just got to be patient, work hard, literally give it all I have. After this event, I’ll be going right into [Gillette], work out with my teammates, work on rehab, go study up. All I can do is work hard every day and let the body heal. Hopefully, when it comes down to it, I’m ready to roll.” Patriots owner Robert Kraft praised Gronkowski for his positive attitude. “I’ve never seen Gronk, in all the time with us, ever say or do anything that had a negative overtone. He is always up and when you are building a team atmosphere with people from different backgrounds and different places and it’s a physical game, having someone like Gronk in the system is uplifting, especially if he is on the field all the time.” The post Rob Gronkowski on injury rehab: ‘It’s coming along well’ appeared first on Sports Glory.
