He did say he was, but he wasn't serious. It was just a joke. The New England Patriots tight end was just having some fun at the expense of his agent, Drew Rosenhaus.
Because, you know, that Gronkowski guy is a big goof ball.
The gag in occurred following the Gronk's recent surgery on his forearm. When the anesthesia wore off and he woke up he saw his agent standing there and laid some news on him. According to Rosenhaus this is how it went down:
Gronk: I'm firing you.
Gronk: Yeah, I’m letting you go. I’m going to hire Jay-Z.
Now how funny would it be to see Rob Gronkowski release a rap album? I can see his first single now; a remake of EU's 'Da Butt.'
Walked in this club, surprised to see a big boy gettin' busy
Slam dancin' to the go-go beat
The way he shake defenders sho' looked good to me
I said, 'Hey big boy, you're on my fantasy team
Score some points for me'
He was doin' the Gronk, hey pretty, pretty
When he gets that notion, he body slams his friends in motion, hey
Doin' the Gronk, hey sexy, sexy
Ain't nothing wrong if you wanna slam a Bud all night long
I don't know Drew. I think we might have a hit song here. If you can't make it happen I sure bet Jay-Z could!
If you are having trouble seeing the song watch this video then look at the lyrics again...it could work!
