America’s favorite tight end has a brand new look. Over the course of his stellar 2011 season, Rob Gronkowski became known just as much for his spikey bro status haircut as he did for his celebratory spiking of the football. Whether it be hanging out with a pornstar or ragging on Tim Tebow for his virginity, Gronk always seemed to go with the gelled-up hair look. On Sunday morning, Gronkowski said goodbye to his locks and took part in the One Mission’s Buzz for Kids event, which raised more than $500,000 toward pediatric cancer research according to the Boston Herald. Even with a shaved head, Gronk still managed to be Gronk. “I thought I was getting a number two,” he said after he checked out his new bald head. “It looks better than (Tom) Brady’s.” Gronk said he had a blast with the kids and that the experience makes you “cherish your life more.” He also tweeted the photo you see above accompanied by the following message: “Got hyped with all the kids!! Woo.” Sounds like just a...

Rob Gronkowski’s ankle recovery is “going well”

Getty Images New England Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski underwent ankle surgery almost four months ago and so far all indications are that his recovery is “going well.” While Gronkowski hasn’t yet participated in OTA’s, he’s been on the side working on his conditioning and is now walking without a limp. “Just taking it day by day,” said Gronkowski. “Everything...

Rob Gronkowski Feels Ankle Injury Is 'Getting Better Every Single Week'

Back in february, the Patriots Super Bowl chances hinged squarely on the right ankle of tight end Rob Gronkowski. Unfortunately for the Patriots, that ankle didn't hold up quite as well as they had hoped in the 19-15 loss to the New York Giants. But as New England gears up for a new season and another shot at claiming the franchise's fourth Super Bowl title, Gronkowski'...

Rob Ninkovich playing some defensive end for Patriots

Rob Ninkovich has played primarily at outside linebacker in his career, but the 6-2 255 pounder has been seeing some snaps at defensive end for the Patriots in OTAs. Ninkovich is yet another diamond in the rough that the Patriots have unearthed, ranking 10th among all 4-3 outside linebackers last year and totaling 6 sacks, 5 hits, and 28 quarterback pressures as a situational pass...

Kevin Faulk has seen limited playing time over the past two years, but the running back is still holding out hope that he could suit up for a 14th season in New England. Faulk told the Boston Herald that the Patriots haven't yet reached out about a potential return, but the 36-year-old running back is still training in the hopes of returning. "I hope so. I'm still praying...

Analysis: projecting a world without Welker

Misunderstanding of the Maya calendar has some believing the world will end in 2012. Those better-versed in their understanding of ancient civilizations believe that 2012 represents a reset of the clock and an ushering in of a new era on this world. This may be true for the New England Patriots, as contract negotiations for a long-term deal with wide receiver Wes Welker show no...
