Found June 14, 2013 on Rumors and Rants:
This has been expected for some time, but now we have confirmation that New England Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski will indeed undergo back surgery. According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the procedure is scheduled for Tuesday in Los Angeles. This will be the fifth surgery Gronkowski has had since November, four on his forearm and this one on his back. He also had surgery on his ankle in February of 2012. That is just a ridiculous number of times going under the knife for anyone, let alone a young player. The upcoming back surgery will reportedly carry a 10-week recovery period, which means he won’t be ready for the start of training camp in late July. Most feel it’s a near-certainty that he will miss some regular season action as well. The two-time Pro Bowler previously suffered a back injury that forced him to miss his entire junior season at the University of Arizona. The 24-year-old Gronkowski is the highest-paid tight end in the NFL and after such a crazy stretch of injuries yo...

Top 5 tight ends in the NFL

1. Rob Gronkowski – New England Patriots Gronk is the deadliest tight end in the league when healthy, and that’s the problem: he hasn’t been very healthy over the last year. Gronkowski does not possess the greatest hands, but he won’t drop a large amount of passes. Gronk is nowhere near being strictly a receiving tight end. He is a very good run blocker on the edge. His...

Tim Tebow and Tom Brady Like Zoolander and Hansel?

As much as we all want Tom Brady and Tim Tebow to completely hate each other, that’s just not the case in New England. Tom Brady could care less who backs him up, and the Patriots are probably the only team equipped to handle Tebowmania. So unfortunately a la Zoolander, we won’t be seeing Brady and Tebow in a walk off. Thanks to Sportnation for the great GIF. The Greatest Bill...

Time For The Tim Tebow/New England Patriots Marketing Juggernaut!

Tim Tebow is one of those guys people seem to either love or hate. Thankfully for all the charity work he does the general sentiment leans more towards love than hate--even though the love affair that the media has with him nearly cost him his career. While the media blitz may be annoying for Patriots head coach Bill Belichick and the rest of the Patriots it is a boon to the...

The Mystery Of Ras-I

The Patriots had high hopes for Ras-I Dowling. Enough confidence to select him with the 33rd pick in the 2011 draft. The move was a slight head-scratcher at the time (as we have grown accustom to), but nonetheless he was pegged to be a fixture in the secondary going forward. Since then, Dowling has played in exactly two regular season games, recording a career total of ten tackles...
