So last week the news broke that an infection in Gronk's arm was forcing him to have his fourth surgery. This after the star Patriots tight end suffered two separate forearm injuries, on the same arm. Depending on how bad the infection was, it could cause Gronk to miss the beginning of the season. Now, it appears as if Gronk is going to hold off on that for a weeks. NFL.com: The Boston Herald's Karen Guregian reports that Gronkowski will delay surgery on his broken forearm for several more weeks in order to make sure that the infection in his arm has cleared out. He will continue a course of antibiotics, but the plan is still to eventually have surgery to check on the infection and install a new plate in his forearm. This might be a smart move, as it sounded as if the timetable for Gronk's recovery would go up if they cut him open and found the infection to be more severe.
