Just two games remain in the Washington Redskins’ season, but tight end Rob Myers and defensive end Doug Worthington aim to make a strong impression on coaches following their promotions to the 53-man roster this week.
Myers, a 6-foot-4, 239-pound Utah State product, signed to Washington’s practice squad five weeks ago. Since entering the NFL as an undrafted free agent in 2009, Myers has spent time with the New York Jets, Philadelphia Eagles, New England Patriots, Buffalo Bills and Indianapolis Colts. But he has spent time only on practice squads and never any of those team’s 53-man rosters.
