The Other Paper:
It looks like New York is only big enough for one of the Ryan twins after multiple reports Friday said that Rob Ryan was nearing a deal with the St. Louis Rams as their defensive coordinator.
Rob Ryan was the Dallas Cowboys defensive coordinator until he was fired Tuesday. Ryan's dismissal, along with the New York Jets canning of defensive coordinator Mike Pettine and linebackers coach Bob Sutton prompted speculation that he might join twin brother Rex in New York.
Instead, reports now claim that he will join Jeff Fisher's team in St. Louis.
Rob preferred a defensive coordinator job with a team but that plan was unlikely with the Jets because defensive backs coach Dennis Thurman is expected to take that position.
Too bad. The Rex and Rob show would have been a nice followup to Tebowmania next season.

As the season-ending injuries continued to pile up on defense, the effectiveness of Rob Ryan's group steadily decreased. The argument could be made that Ryan, the team's defensive coordinator who was fired Tuesday, shouldn't be ridiculed for the way the defense played down the stretch because they were missing several key contributors.
But while assessing the play of...
After recently turning 70, perhaps Jerry Jones was sick of being the oldest guy at Valley Ranch. Enter the soon-to-be 73-year-old Monte Kiffin, who will replace Rob Ryan as defensive coordinator.
It's the sort of move that would bother Oklahoma State's Mike Gundy, who apparently didn't retain 66-year-old defensive coordinator Bill Young because his advanced age was scaring...

Rob Ryan is a defensive genius.
If you don’t believe me, just ask him:
“I inherited a team that was 31st in the league in defense and made them better,” Ryan told ESPNDallas.com’s Tim MacMahon. “I (expletive) made them a hell of a lot better. I’ll be out of work for like five minutes.”
Ryan, true to his genetic predisposition, was always one to over-promise and under...

Dallas Cowboys fans should be rejoicing right now. Why?Jerry Jones has upheld one of his promises.Where's that victory parade bunting circa 1995?Seriously though, when GM/Owner Jones stated last week that changes would be made in a bid to fix up the ailing Cowboys, many thought that the changes would not be the ones expected. On Monday, to back this theory up, he fired running...
