In recent weeks, as the NFL Draft approaches, there has been a lot of conversation about Johnny Manziel and the so-called “baggage” that he brings with him. While a great player on the field, the former Heisman Trophy winner is far from stellar off the gridiron, as he’s in the center of one controversy after another. That’s led many to suggest that his stock is going to drop come May 8, as some teams won’t want to be a part of the three-ring circus that surrounds the quarterback. It’s a similar argument that is used to explain why Tim Tebow is no longer employed by an NFL team. At a certain point, a player isn’t worth the headaches that accompany them, no matter what they bring to the table from a football standpoint. That may not be fair, but it’s reality. Personally, the criticism of Johnny Football seems unfair. Most of his transgressions are nothing more than young guy having fun; that’s livable. But there are plenty of players in the NFL who do deserve to be labeled as not worth the trouble. They abound, from coast to coast and roster to roster. • How is he a headache? he got married - aj is doing the same and many other football players
he has endorsements/second jobs - many people do, it's called living
if he didn't have so much scrutiny from media who would know what he does?
stop reporting on him and he won't be a headache
  • I agree, RG3 had some setbacks, but he could turn out to be what the Redskins need...I think after the next season, he will have a clearer vision of what he needs to do.
  • just what I have been saying and commenting on and this is a creation of an immature owner Dan Snyder just wait till this Jackson thing heats up Gruden won't stand a chance I give him two years and maybe RGIII 3 years and he wont even be a mention in the NFL but this is what happens when you have a owner thet shouldn't be.
  • Perhaps you should concentrate on another team, because it sounds like you really are a Redskin/Snyder hater. You should pick a team farther south than the D.C. area, where your traitorous flag, and the traitor Lee is tolerated. Go back to to the 19th century where you came from. You are not ready for 21st century sports.
  • The fact that he could not get along with Shanahan means that most of the Redskins players belong on this list. No One!!! has said they were sorry to see him go. As far as his Superbowl titles they were more than likely won in spite of him. His approach to the game no longer works.
  • There are a lot of RG111 haters out there, because of the dynamic play and his affable personality. The headache comes from media who choose to report a lot of rubbish than concentrate of real sports, stats and physicality of the players. I think RG111 is one of the nicer players in football, not arrogant and pompous like a lot of them now a days. He is a real class guy.
  • Who is this hater? could it be jealousy. Leave RG111 alone. He's young, black and gifted..class act. Let him play football. Go find some other player to 'dis'.
