Getty Images According to Rich Campbell of The Washington Times, Redskins rookie quarterback Robert Griffin III has taken quite a few “sacks” during camp because he’s simply holding onto the ball too long. “Quarterback Robert Griffin III during the first five training camp practices has taken more than a few sacks because he didn’t get rid of the ball quickly enough. Sometimes he holds the ball in the pocket for what seems like an eternity – really it’s three or more seconds – and the rush gets to him,” reported Campbell. I’m not surprised to hear that RG3 is holding on to the ball too long, since he’s still getting acclimated to the speed of the game at the NFL level.
