Washington Redskins second-year star signal-caller Robert Griffin III is among the most talked about players in the NFL today, and for good reason.  The 6-2, 217-pound quarterback burst onto the scene in his rookie campaign, completing 258 of 393 passes (65.6 percent) for 3,200 yards with a 20:5 TD-to-INT rate in 15 games (all starts). He also led the league in rushing among quarterbacks with 815 yards and seven scores on 120 carries (6.8 YPC) and led the ‘Skins to seven consecutive wins en route to their first division title since 1999. RG3 on gays, living sober and his dad’s infamous interview

The more that Washington Redskins quarterback Robert Griffin III mentions his practice time or his coach, the more attention he brings to his situation. From the moment he won the Heisman trophy in 2012, he has basked in all the glory that has been thrown his way. Griffin has starred in the big commercials, been engulfed by the spotlight and has dove headfirst into accepting the...

Robert Griffin III’s first pro off-season: Much ado about nothing

I want to preface this piece by saying I have always had a strong belief in something called the Champion theory. Whoever is at the top, whether in sports or business, there will always be people gunning for them. As a kid, I remember the WWF belt wasn’t passed around like the offering basket at church, Hulk Hogan held that title for what seemed like years and always had to deal...

Robert Griffin Wants to Play in Preseason, Mike Shanahan says there is “No Possibility”

Reports are surfacing that Robert Griffin III is pushing the coaching staff to play week 3 of the preseason. I admire RG3’s competitive drive to get back on the field but to me his judgment is cloudy. Maybe he still hasn’t shaken off the concussion he suffered week 5 versus the Falcons last year. Griffin seems to want to play in the meaningless preseason exhibition games more...

It has been well documented that Robert Griffin III got married and fans across the country sent him a whole bunch of wedding gifts. But, it turns out, not all those gifts were on his registry. In a teaser for an upcoming ESPN documentary, RG3 and his wife Rebecca are filmed opening wedding gifts when one in particular stood out. The scenes opens with the quarterback saying...

Robert Griffin III has taken his first 11-on-11 snaps at Washington Redskins training camp. The quarterback ran 16 plays with the first-string offense Wednesday against a scout-team defense. He completed 7 of 10 passes with an interception. Griffin had been limited to 7-on-7 drills during camp as he works his way back from reconstructive knee surgery. Coach Mike Shanahan's...

Washington Redskins’ Robert Griffin III Faces the Next Step in His Recovery

Washington Redskin’s head coach Mike Shanahan restated last week that the team would continue to press forward with its plan regarding quarterback Robert Griffin III’s recovery from a torn ACL.  It looks like that plan is about to get ramped up. Griffin took 53 of the 70 first team snaps on Monday, the highest number of plays he’s participated in since camp broke several...

RG3 Wasn’t Happy Rob Parker Got Fired by ESPN

Former ESPN personality, Rob Parker was fired by the network for his comments about Redskins QB Robert Griffin III.  RG3 spoke about the incident in an interview for the September issue of GQ Magazine. “I don’t think it’s right to make fun of Rob Parker for losing his job. There’s some wrong in what he said, but there’s some wrong in him losing his job as well. And I...

Donovan McNabb says Robert Griffin III is ‘getting brainwashed’ by Redskins

If anyone thought that Donovan McNabb would stand idly by and not feel compelled to provide an unnecessary retort to comments Washington Redskins quarterback Robert Griffin III made during a GQ interview that were made public on Tuesday, well, they’d be sorely mistaken. In the GQ profile, RG3 reacted to how the former NFL (and […]The post Donovan McNabb says Robert Griffin III...
