Washington Redskins quarterback Robert Griffin III will start the season opener for the Washington Redskins. Griffin will start under center for the Redskins opener on Sept. 9 against NFC East rival Philadelphia. This is hardly news as nearly everyone had penned the 23-year-old to be in the starting lineup for the Redskins. Griffin will visit Dr. James Andrews on Thursday for a final check up and to get medical clearance. Andrews had previously cleared Griffin before training camp and will simply examine the quarterbacks knee again.

  • I look forward to seeing RG3 in action again, however he must restrain himself from his competitive nature, and learn to slide down when pursuit is inevitable. Taking hits for more yardage will cheat the fans out of a full season of good football if he's injured again. Robert is a good passer and has a good offensive line to give him adequate time to find his targets. I wish him the best of health and a Super Bowl winning year.

Redskins QB Robert Griffin III, says he is finally fully healthy for the first time since his knee injury.

I feel good, that is the tone coming out of Robert Griffin III these days. For the first time since injuring his knee, RGIII said he is finally 100% healthy. Washington Redskins quarterback Robert Griffin III’s documentary called a “Will to Win” aired on Tuesday night and throughout it, viewers saw RG3 working out, rehabbing and wearing lots of socks.  One pair of socks even said “I Love Haters,” which is funny because RG3 blocks anyone on Twitter that says anything negative.
