Robert Mathis has decided to spend time with his fiancee and newborn twins rather than head to Hawaii for the Pro Bowl.
Yesterday, ColtsAuthority reader peytonsthebest asked Mathis directly whether he would be interested in returning to the Colts next year. He responded:
yea but i have a new fam&my decision is based solely on their best interest
This is one of the reasons we love him so dearly and hope that he DOES remain a Colt for life!

Bob Kravitz of the Indianapolis Star reported that the Colts and Peyton Manning can’t push back the March 8th when he’s a due a $28 million option bonus.
According to Mike Florio of ProFootballTalk.com, the only way the push back the deadline, would be to renegotiate Manning’s contract, which is obviously something that can get done.
