SAN DIEGO, March 14- The Buffalo Bills were supposedly a shoe-in to land WR Robert Meachem and that did not happen as he will play with a lightning bolt shooting across his helmet for the next four years.
The Chargers website has confirmed that Meachem has a four-year deal with the Chargers. The team would not get into the financial specifics.
But here is the deal, Charger fans should be excited about this pick-up. At 6-2, 210, Meachem is the guy that Drew Brees looked to when it was big play time.
If Marques Colston was covered, it was often Meachem who got the deep ball look.
San Diego’s QB Phillip Rivers LOVES to turn the ball loose and Meachem has the speed to shake defenders to get open.
