With this past weekend in the NFL being marred by multiple vicious helmet to helmet hits, the league will soon announce that players deemed to deliver a dangerous hit could be suspended, instead of just fined. The NFL has announced that no rule change will take place, but rather the fact that players could now be subject to a one game suspension following a devastating hit. I agree with the fact that the league needs to take a strong stance in protecting their players, especially when it comes to concussions. They have been far too lax in the past, with head injuries just being viewed as part of the game. That is something that needs to change immediately, and while I feel that certain players should be fined and suspended for cheap shots, I still feel that this is something that will be extremely subjective.
