Superheavyweights Sarah Robles and Holley Mangold, sister of New York Jets center Nick Mangold, qualified for the London Games on Sunday at the women's U.S. Olympic weightlifting trials.
Robles and Mangold dueled all day in the two lifts, snatch and clean-and-jerk. Robles led after the snatch, with a best-of-three lift of 114 kilograms to Mangold's 110.
Mangold, from nearby Dayton and a member of the Columbus Weighlifting Club, nailed a 145-kilogram clean-and-jerk to slide past Robles and clinch the second qualifying spot.
A large crowd roared its approval during the competition, held for the first time in conjunction with the annual Arnold Sports Festival. Fifteen lifters competed for the two spots.

FIND THE STRENGTH TO GO ON
It turns out that Nick Mangold may only be the second strongest sibling in the Mangold family, after his sister qualified for the 2012 Olympics as a weightlifter.
As we mentioned last week, Holley Mangold had her moment to shine yesterday at the U.S. Olympic weightlifting trials in Columbus, O. Guess who’s going to the Olympics, b*tches? To say this makes our year is an understatement. Why? Because Nick Mangold’s sister is gregarious, knows she’s mammoth and is likely to bench press some Chinese gymnasts in the dining hall. Name another...

Since taking over as GM, the Jets have been a .500 or better team in 5 of 6 seasons but have only made the playoffs half of the time...

South Florida is known for it’s hanging chads, and it appears that one hanging chad could be heading to New York, QB Chad Henne.
