The Atlanta Falcons have had one hell of a year so far as they sit atop the NFC and Roddy White is a big reason for their success. The young WR has emerged as one of the premier receivers in the NFL, but perhaps his individual success and the team’s success is getting the better of him. Tonight on his twitter account, White declared the following: This is in response to the outspoken ESPN analyst’s comments today about the Falcons and their apparent weaknesses. At least according to him. Dilfer likened them to the 2003 Chiefs that went 13-3 in the regular season and then lost in their first home playoff game to the Colts. Dilfer then went on to say that he thinks the Falcons can be beat at home next monday night by the Saints and even believes the Saints will return to the Georgia Dome to beat them in their first playoff game (likely the 2nd round as the Falcons will have a bye). As you can see, Roddy White was none too pleased with Dilfer’s thoughts and not only does he not believe the Saints can beat them even once in their home dome, but he went so far as to break out an ‘Aints reference! I honestly thought that after last year’s Super Bowl win, all references to ‘Aints would be set aside at least for a few years! Afterall, these are the defending champions that he’s talking about. That’s just a bit disrespectful and I’m not sure I would want to poke the bear so to speak as the Saints have been playing great football and sit positioned to make another run.
