Never shy about speaking his mind, Green Bay Packersquarterback Aaron Rodgers had more than a few unkind words for the BCS collegefootball system that he described as outdated and "a joke" duringhis Tuesday radio show on ESPN 540 in Milwaukee.A standout at California during his college days, Rodgers was asked what hethought of football powerhouses like Georgia and Oklahoma getting passed up forthe Orange Bowl for the relative minnow that is Northern Illinois, and he didnot hold back."I love it because it just goes to show what a sham the BCS is,"Rodgers told ESPN 540. "It's an absolute sham. They keep pushing off thedate when they're going to do this playoff. It makes absolutely no sense. It'sabsolute baloney. It should be at least a 16-team playoff. Should have been forthe last 10 or 15 years. It's a joke." Have a definite winner. Every other sport (has one), including whateverthey're calling Division II or III in the NCAA all have playoffs, so whywouldn't you have -- in the system that could make the most money -- why wouldyou not have a playoff? It doesn't make any sense. I mean, in NCAA basketball, that's what everybody looks forward to. Everybody loves March Madness. Youcan't wait to watch because there is one definite winner. Just a lot of teamshave a chance."Why don't you give Northern Illinois a chance? Even if you rank them a 16seed and put them up against Notre Dame; 1 vs. 16, 2 vs. 15 and run down theline and see what happens. Then you can at least have one championship andstill have the integrity of the bowl games. All the teams are done now and youhave four weeks to play games. "Tell us how you really feel, Aaron.
