GREEN BAY, Wis. In this week's media session with Aaron Rodgers, the Packers quarterback talked about making the Pro Bowl along with six teammates, the possibility of losing momentum before the playoffs, Chad Cliftons return to practice, and more:Five question-and-answer highlights:1. What are your thoughts on your six teammates making the Pro Bowl along with you? RODGERS: Im happy for the guys that got nominated. I spoke yesterday about how I felt Clay (Matthews) had a Pro Bowl-caliber year. His numbers might not be DeMarcus Ware or Jason Babin numbers, but what he does in our defense and how much attention he garners from the opposing teams offense, I thought he was definitely a good selection. B.J. Rajis peformance, hes not going to be a huge sack number or tackle number guy, but for what he does in our defense, I think hes definitely Pro Bowl-worthy. Real happy for John (Kuhn) and Scott (Wells). Those guys have been the under-appreciated guys in our offense for a while. Scotty has played as consistent as we could ask for the last three years. John, this just adds to his cult following and his legend in Green Bay. So excited for them. Bummed that Jordy (Nelson) maybe didnt get as high an alternate slot as maybe he probably deserved, or even get Pro Bowl recognition, but Im happy for the guys that got voted in.2. Are you worried that the team could lose momentum if certain starters dont play the entire game Sunday against Detroit? RODGERS: I dont think anybody is real worried about momentum at this point. Were the No. 1 seed. Thats enough momentum. Were going to host a home playoff game. Its tough to play in Lambeau with the crowd going and the elements. I dont think many people are too worried about potential momentum going in, knowing that we do have a bye week the first week of the playoffs.3. Do you want to rest or play Sunday? RODGERS: I think any player would love to play and be on the field with your guys. Its not my decision, though. Its going to be Mike (McCarthys) decision, his final call ultimately. Whatever he decides, well go with.4. How do you view this game against the Lions, knowing that your playoff seeding wont change and cant get any better? RODGERS: I think you have to have a lot of pride as a player. This is what we get paid to do. We love to play the game. I think if youre keen on history as well you realize that they havent won here since, I believe, 1991. So youd like to keep that streak going. Theyve obviously improved in the last couple of years and are playing really well. Its no surprise theyre in the playoffs. Theyre playing for that fifth seed right now and the chance to go to the winner of the NFC East instead of maybe playing New Orleans or San Francisco. I think we still have a lot of pride to play for.5. If Clifton is able to return Sunday and be ready for the playoffs, what would that mean for the offensive line, as well as the passing game? RODGERS: I saw something that said the starting line hasnt been together since Week 3, so weve been dealing with injuries, guys moving positions. Im really proud of those guys. They took a lot of garbage in the media I think over this week about the stuff that went on in Kansas City. Then we had guys playing out of position, different positions. They played great. The lanes were great, the pocket was solid. I had room to move around and step up and get out when I needed to, so you have to give those guys a lot of credit for how we played on offense.Follow Paul Imig on Twitter
