The Pimp hand of Roger Goodell is strong. So strong that even if you aren’t playing Goodell will still suspend you just because he can.
It is one thing to suspend a free agent who wants to play in the NFL again, but suspending someone who is officially retired is pretty funny and utterly meaningless.
In an interesting twist, the NFL has suspended former Oakland Raiders linebacker Eric Barton for four games.
What makes the move so interesting is that Barton retired a month ago.
Barton had fun with the report on Twitter.
The only retired player that should be suspended is Brett Favre to guarantee he never comes back. Eventually Gotti Goodell will suspend a deceased player.
