Tim Tebow might be the most well-known figure in football. However, the former Heisman winner currently finds himself without a job after being cut by the New York Jets this offseason. Opinions about whether he belongs in the league or not are generally mixed, especially in regards to playing quarterback. Some are adamant that he isn't cut out for the position, nor the league, while others strongly believe there is a place for him in America's most popular professional sport.Count NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell as one who is favor of having Tebow in the league.“Well, he’s a great young man,” Goodell said of Tebow. “And I try to stay out of the decisions about who should be playing in the NFL and on what team. But as a young man, he’s just a super young guy, and I sure hope he’s part of the NFL going forward. He’s just a terrific young man and represents all of the values that I think all of our players do. I’m very proud of our players. I think, as a group, they’re extraordinary young men, and I love to see the things they’re doing in the community. They’re obviously great athletes on the field, but these are great young men, and Tim’s a good example of that.”It's unclear if Goodell is approaching this from a personal standpoint or a pure business standpoint, but it is clear that Goodell wants Tebow involved in some form or fashion. It is the ultimate example of "I'm not saying, just saying."Although Goodell doesn't have the ability to sign players, he does have tremendous influence around the NFL. And there is certainly something to be said for the league's 32 teams knowing that Goodell wants Tebow around. Via Pro Football Talk
