DECATUR, Ala. — A city judge has dismissed a charge accusing Baltimore Ravens linebacker Rolando McClain of lying to police about his identity. The charge stemmed from McClain writing profanity on a ticket for a window-tint violation on April 21 instead of signing his name. Circuit Clerk Jessica Hayes said Thursday municipal Judge Billy Cook Jr. dismissed the charge at the prosecution’s request. She says McClain pleaded guilty to the window tint violation and paid a $182 fine. The former Butkus Award winner at Alabama still has other cases pending in his hometown. McClain is scheduled to appear in Circuit Court June 20 on reckless driving and no proof of insurance citations from May 2011. He also has a July 9 municipal court date on charges of resisting arrest and disorderly conduct.

Ben Roethlisberger destroys Joe Flacco in a Baltimore newspaper poll

In my eyes, there is no question that Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger is still the best in the AFC North, and most certainly still better than Joe Flacco of the Baltimore Ravens. I have been called a biased homer for this being a Steelers fan, especially since Flacco won a Super Bowl and signed a gigantic contract extension. However, the Baltimore Sun recently...

Baltimore Sun Newspaper Has Perhaps The Most Unscientific Steelers Ravens Poll Ever

An interesting poll that is posted on the Baltimore Sun website has quite interesting results. An emailer alerted me to this poll that asks readers to vote on which quarterback is best between Baltimore Ravens quarterback Joe Flacco and Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger. As of right now at the time of this posting Flacco has 10499 votes, while Roethlisberger is...

AFC North: post-draft stock watch

Baltimore Ravens, FALLING: The Ravens have been losing some of their best players this offseason, and this season's Ravens won't be the same team that won the Super Bowl earlier this year. Still, the Ravens will be a good football team, but it's hard to imagine them sniffing a repeat without the help of Ray Lewis, Ed Reed or Anquan Boldin, to name a few. Playing in a...

Grading the Draft: Baltimore Ravens

A Super Bowl title followed by a huge contract for their signal caller then the loss of two All Pro veterans capped a busy post season for the Baltimore Ravens. The defections of Ed Reed and Ray Lewis created voids on defense for the league's top franchise and they hoped to plug those holes in the draft...

Make Your Pick, The AFC North Is Up For Grabs

The Baltimore Ravens should be the set favorite to win the AFC North division, but due to some key rosters losses, the team has gone down this offseason rather than up or even. The losses were heavy beginning with Ray Lewis retiring, Anquan Boldin's trade, coupled with the additional defensive losses of DE/OLB Paul Kruger, CB Cary Williams, and FS Ed Reed.  On draft day, the...
